The Hudson Valley Current is a Local Nonprofit
that Stimulates the Region’s Economy and Provides
Opportunities to Create More Wealth in Our Communities
The Hudson Valley Current is dedicated to providing education to our community and facilitating trade between local businesses in order to strengthen the local economy. We are succeeding in encouraging diverse, small-scale community enterprises that provide sustainable sources of food, housing, energy, jobs and other vital resources. In order to provide our members with a platform through which they can sell their products and services, HV Current administers a mutual credit system that uses a digital unit of exchange called the Current.

The Hudson Valley Current will hold a Food Security Talk and Tapas event in partnership with the Rosendale Food Pantry on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 5:30 to 8pm at the Rosendale Recreation Center (1055 Route 32). During this event we intend to provide education, raise awareness, and share ideas on developing a resilient food system with our local currency. Becoming food secure ensures that food is accessible, affordable, healthy, and culturally sensitive to the local community, regardless of race, sex, or socioeconomic status. According toRead More
